Lettuce Moonred little gem

Crisp and flavoursome glossy red outer leaves enclose this dense hearted romaine-type lettuce. Neat and compact, Lettuce ’Moonred’ is the ideal choice for growing in more confined spaces, including window boxes and patio containers as well as making neat rows on the allotment. The attractive and nutritious leaves are the perfect addition to sandwiches or as part of a refreshing, mixed salad. Easy to grow, sow throughout the spring and early summer months for a long lasting crop which continues through to late autumn. Height: 20cm (8”). Spread: 15cm (6”).

A Lobjoit's type but with a pale green heart. Crisp texture and sweet flavour. Medium to large sized heads.
